Stamped fabric makes a pretty holiday decoration for the wall.
Materials:

stamps (Christmas Holly #77011, Poinsettia #77010, Tall Pine Tree #72145, Snowflake #77012, Alphabet Kit #79000)
stamping paints (Hunter Green #65017, discontinued: Tomato Spice #65031, discontinued: Yellow #65038)
paper plate
wedge-shaped applicator sponges
pinking shears
scissors
iron-on, paper-backed fusible webbing
assorted fabrics (cream muslin, dark green calico print, red burlap, tan burlap, dark green checkerboard print, red plaid, tan pattern)
two 1/4" wood dowels
four wood balls with holes
five wood stars
assorted red buttons
fabric glue
gold bells
safety pins
green textile marker
iron
red and green grosgrain ribbon (52" of each )
two red 1" jingle bells

Steps:

1. Iron fusible adhesive to wrong side of all fabrics except for tan and red burlap . Use pinking shears to trim the edges. Finished measurements of all fabric swatches with fusible adhesive (on reverse side) as follows:

two 3-1/2"x 4" muslin (for poinsettias)
two 4"x 6" muslin (for trees)
two 5"x 4-1/2" green calico fabric
one 8-1/2"x 11-1/4" green checkerboard fabric
one 20"x 27-1/2" tan patterned fabric
one 20"x 2-1/2" tan patterned fabric
one 6-1/4"x 12-1/4" red plaid fabric
one 22"x 23" green calico fabric

2 . Cut tan burlap so that it measures 32"x 24". Pull a few threads from both sides of the 24-inch width to create frayed edges. Press two inches under at top and bottom of the 32-inch length of wall hanging to create a casing for the wood dowels. Cut a strip of fusible adhesive approximately 1/2-inch wide to adhere ends to back of wall hanging. Leave a wide enough opening for dowel to slip through casing.

3. Cut red burlap 10-1/4" x 7-1/2" with scissors. Pull a few threads from all four sides to create frayed edges. Cut a piece of fusible adhesive slightly smaller than red burlap and adhere to back.

4. Pour a small amount of the red, green and yellow stamping paint onto a paper plate.

5. Using a different applicator sponge for each color, load the paint onto the flat edge of the wedge sponge and pat the color onto portions of the stamp.

6. Apply red and yellow paint to appropriate portions of the poinsettia stamp. Stamp a poinsettia on each of the 3-1/2" x 4" muslin rectangles.

7. Apply green paint to the pine tree stamp. Center and stamp a pine tree on each of the 4" x 6" muslin rectangles.

8. Remove paper backing from stamped muslin squares.

9. Center poinsettia stamped muslin on the 5" x 4-1/2" green calico fabric and press with iron. Repeat for other poinsettia-stamped muslin and green fabric.

10. Iron poinsettia squares to the red checkerboard fabric leaving a two-inch space between the two stamped pieces.

11. Iron the two stamped pine tree muslin rectangles to the red burlap leaving a half inch space between the two stamped pieces.

12. Iron the red burlap piece centered on the 8-1/2" x 11-1/4" green checkerboard fabric.

13. Position the poinsettia fabric swatch and the pine tree swatch so that they are aligned approximately 4-1/2 inches down from the top edge of the 27-1/2 inch tan fabric side and iron in place.

14. Apply green and red paint to appropriate portions of the holly. Stamp five holly sprigs, spaced evenly above the poinsettia and pine tree swatches.

15. Apply red paint to the snowflake and stamp three snowflakes, spaced evenly below the pine tree fabric swatch.

16. Apply red paint to the alphabet stamps to spell out "Season's Greetings" or any other personalized phrase.

17. Iron both tan fabric pieces to the 22" x 23" green calico fabric. Leave approximately one inch of space between the two pieces.

18. Iron the entire panel to the center of the tan burlap.

19. Paint the wood stars with yellow paint and allow to dry. Attach two stars on top of the pine tree with fabric glue. Put three stars between the two poinsettia -stamped panels.

20. Glue red buttons to pine tree in a random pattern with fabric glue.

21. Use a safety pin to attach bells to center of snowflakes.

22. Paint four wood balls with holes red. Allow to dry and fasten to ends of dowels .

23. Tie ends of green and red grosgrain ribbon to ends of top dowel to create a hanger.
