Trash to Treasure: Mirror, Frame, Shadow Box
Decorating Cents : Episode DCT-1506 -- More Projects »
Robb Whittlef shares how to turn flea-market finds into great accessories and furnishings for the home.
Use an old decorative door frame as a dressing room mirror. Attach four discount-store door mirrors to the back with mirror clips. Use a 2x4 board to make a stand.
Turn handheld mirrors into decorative picture frames. Remove the mirror and replace with a family photo. Create a mat out of cardboard and lace. Hot-glue the mat to the edge of the photo. Add a picture hanger to the back and hang on a wall.
Turn an empty clock cabinet into a shadow box. Hot-glue a piece of fabric to the back of the box. Add personal items, like a fishing hat, reel holder, lures and other fishing gear with hot-glue.
