Robb Whittlef shares three great ideas for re-purposing found items:
Shoe Form Peg Rack
The peg rack consists of three separate elements: a wooden window frame, plywood and shoe forms with pre-existing handles. Cut plywood to size to fit inside the window frame. Attach the shoe forms to the plywood with screws. Add picture hanger hardware to the back and hang in an entry or bedroom.
Bathroom Bed Tray
Add a piece of plywood to a wire tray, paint white and age with an umber stain. Instead of using it as a bed tray, place it in a bathroom to hold towels and bathroom necessities.
Screen Door Cupboard
Use four screen doors and miscellaneous lumber and trim to create a summer-house storage unit. Join the two sides and back at the top with screws. Cut the front door down so that it can be inset. Attach with hinges and add a handle. Use beadboard paneling for the shelves. Trim it out with molding at the top and bottom and finish with white paint.
