Decorative Tree

If time, money or space is a consideration, this tree is a clever solution. Flank a fireplace with two or make a smaller pair for the buffet or table.

tomato cage
garland or holiday greens
decorations and ornaments
votive candles
votive candleholders with a lip
wire
ribbon

Steps:

1. Wire the ends of the tomato cage together to form a point.

2. Attach the garland or greenery to the form with wire if necessary. Secure small ornaments and decorations as desired.

3. Wire the votive holders to the frame, making sure that the candle flame will not be in contact with the greens or decorations.

4. Add a large bow to the top and cascade the ends along the sides. Set candles into the holders.

Note: For safety purposes, make sure the greens are fresh when the candles are lit. Once they are dry, replace them or remove the candleholders.
