Materials:
newspaper, magazines, maps or wallpaper
cardboard box
drill
thick laminating sheets (available in office supply stores)
game piece tiles with letters
black cording
4 wooden balls with one flat side
12 washers
black ribbon
black spray paint
double-stick tape
Steps:
1. Fold the tops of the box to the inside and spray the entire box and wooden balls black. Let dry.
2. Cut four pieces of the chosen paper to the size of the box sides and laminate each.
3. Drill holes one inch apart along both sides of the laminated papers. Drill three equidistant holes along the top edge of each panel.
4. Thread a short piece of ribbon through the top holes; add a washer and tie a knot (figure A).
5. Cut and laminate a small rectangle and glue game pieces with chosen word(s) to it (trash, waste, garbage, planter, stuff, etc.). Put a piece of double-stick tape on the back and remove the backing to press it in place on one of the larger laminated pieces (figure A).
6. Line up two panels with wrong sides together and whipstitch cording through the holes to attach them. Tie the ends into a taut bow in the center of each side . Repeat along all four sides until a box is created. Slide this over the painted box for stability.
7. Attach the wooden balls to the four corners of the box bottom for legs.
