Old House Redo

Designer Betty Tarr took an old rundown home that had been abandoned for several years and remodeled and redecorated it from a new perspective. Many of her beautiful antiques were also rejects in poor condition, but she's restored and re-covered them to their former beauty. But one of the most interesting things Tarr did in the house was to visualize her kitchen as not just a place for cooking, but a place for reading and relaxing. So she has four, mismatched but very comfortable, upholstered chairs in the place where most of us would put a kitchen table!
