3/4" and 1" spade bits
drill
wood glue

2. Attach the boards by drilling three pilot holes on each end of the front and back boards. Use a 3/4-inch spade bit to drill the holes (mark the bit with a piece of tape for a 3/4-inch depth so that you don't drill the hole too far into the board (figure A).

3. Run a bead of glue along the edge of the boards and secure with screws (figure B). Hide the screws and holes with mushroom buttons.

4. Glue four cleats to the lower inside edge of the box and attach using finish nails (figure C). For the bottom, cut a piece of 3/4-inch plywood to the inside measurement of the box. Glue and nail the plywood piece to the top of the cleats inside the box.

5. After the bottom has been installed, attach four more cleats to the upper edge of the box allowing enough space for the thickness of the plywood top.

6. Flip the box over and install the wheels to the bottom of the box (figure D).

7. Cut a piece of plywood to the inside dimension of the box for the top,and then cut the piece into two sections. Use a one-inch spade bit to drill a finger hole in the top of the lid so that it can be opened easily. Attach a handle to the front of the box to pull it out from under the bed.
