Remove the two lower drawers and back and side panels. Attach braces to stabilize the legs and paint.

Remove the glass if it's not already missing. Cut a piece of plywood to fit the frame and spray paint one side with chalkboard paint. Nail the plywood to the frame.

Attach a screw and washer to the doorknob. Fill in the backplate with plaster of Paris and level it off. Add a felt bottom to prevent it from scratching a desktop.
