Use a frame that once held a mirror as an entry table. Remove the mirror and turn the frame over. Paint and age, as desired. Add star cutouts in place of the drawer handles. Attach the entire piece to the wall with screws.

Use an old bank drawer organizer as a lap desk. Add a piece of trim molding to the back and attach a cupboard door for the lid. Whitewash and age for a distressed look.

Use wicker wastebaskets for home office organizers. Cut metal pieces to hold hanging files; bend wire in back of basket to hold in place. Use a second basket to hold a small paper shredder.
