Trash-to-treasure expert Robb Whittlef shares how to turn found objects into fun accessories for the home.
  • Look for old milk bottles and a wire carrier at flea markets and antique stores. Group the bottles in the carrier for a portable centerpiece (figure A).
  • Attach legs from a cast-iron stove to the back of an old door to create an interesting coffee table (figure B). Paint and umber over it for a distressed look.
  • Group four porch spindles together and attach a round base and top for a functional plant stand (figure C).
