Create a lamp using a discarded column lamp base, a new column base and a few electrical components purchased from a hardware store. Attach the column base on the bottom for stability and use a 14" drill bit to create the cavity in the column for the electrical components to fit through. Top it with an apple basket lampshade and finish the top with a finial.

Renew an old table with new legs and architectural effects. If the table is missing legs, cut, taper and attach four wooden garden stakes. Add a rung and shelf under the desk top. Reface the drawer front with beadboard and add a new doorknob. Add a backsplash made of two old corner pieces and a piece of trim.

Create a unique framed cork board out of a picture frame and wine bottle corks. Paint and umber over an ornate picture frame and add a piece of plywood and hangers to the back. Hot-glue corks onto the plywood.
