Trash to Treasure: Cupboard, Lamp, Cake Plate

Take the top off of an old trunk and stand it on end. Add feet and attach shelves inside. Finish the edges with molding and paint.

Attach a large porch post to an old column foot to make the lamp base. To wire the lamp, use a router to make a hole at the bottom and drill down six inches from the top of the post. Insert the electrical components and fill in the holes with wood putty. Attach a lampshade decoupaged with old doilies and lace trim.

Create cake plates and serving pieces out of pressed glass plates and glasses. Simply epoxy the bottom of the glass to the bottom of the plate and stack on top of each other.
