Figure B
Materials:

light small window
mirror and glass panes
glazing putty
glazing points
paint
picture hooks
chain

Steps:

  1. Lay pre-cut glass and mirror into the panes in desired pattern. Most glass stores will cut them to size for a small fee.
  2. Prepare glazing putty to hold the glass and mirrors in the frame by rolling it into long thin strips and draping it along the inside edges (figure A). Once in place, press the mirror or glass firmly into the frame, and then scrape the excess off with a putty knife.
  3. Use glazing points to secure the panes by pushing them into the frame.
  4. For the glass sections, sandwich dried flowers in between two glass panes for interest and set in place as above (figure B).
  5. Once all the panes are in place, lay in a final top layer of putty, being sure to push it into all the cracks so the glass and mirrors are held firmly in place . When the putty is dry, paint it white to match the frame. The paint also helps set and make the putty more durable over time.
  6. Hang with a chain attached to picture hooks nailed into the back.
