Decorating Cents : Episode DCT-1303 -- More Projects »

Cut off the front portion of two chairs, leaving the back and two legs. To create the bench seat, construct a frame out of 2x4s. Cut plywood and foam to size and attach to frame. Wrap fabric around foam and staple underneath. Embellish along the sides with upholstery tacks.

Use funky frames in a new way--cover the back with a piece of tin or plywood (paint or apply crackle finish). Attach a small vase with wire to the tin (or plywood) and add flowers.

Attach a piece of gym floor to a table base; add decorative molding around the edges. Cut a spindle to size and attach at each corner. Paint trim and table base and umber over it for an aged look.
