Create an elegant footstool with old bathtub claws that you can find in old salvage yards. Adhere the three claws to a triangular board with metal scraps and screws (some claws have holes that the screws can be inserted through). Place the scraps over the base of the claws (like a bandage), securing with screws on each side. Flip the stool over, and staple foam padding or batting to the top. Finally, cover the top with fabric, securing it to the underside of the stool with a staple gun. Fold the corners for a clean look.

Build a unique table or display case from an old window and a generic wooden box . First, attach an old window to the box with hinges so that it becomes the front door of the box -- the dimensions of the frame should match the box perfectly. Then install a shelf inside the box.

A compact disc case can be created from old floor molding. Simply measure the width and depth of your CDs and assemble the molding on three sides according to the measurements . The case can be as tall or as short as you want, and it can even be screwed into the wall.
