The stained-glass piece above the alcove was found by the homeowner 35 years ago in a drug store going out of business. The drug store owner handed this lovely piece over for free!

  • Bed sheets were used to create the coordinated look in the master bedroom, from the window valance to the duvet. The wood frame above the bed was softened with a ruffled valance attached with hook-and-loop tape.
  • Garage sale chairs were rescued with a bit of fabric and paint. One features a handpainted look coordinated with the fabric in the master bedroom, while another has been updated with a slipcovered seat and spray paint!
  • In the spare bedroom, rich green walls were inspired by the colors in the garage sale sheets, which were then used to create matching duvets, window treatments and mats for picture frames.
