Dorset Antique Fair

These once-broken pitchers were made useable again with the help of a tinsmith, who fashioned new handles. The tradition is known as "make-do."

Before there was Brimfield, Heart of Country or Round Top, there was the Dorset Antique Fair in Vermont. You won't find any meeting halls or huge tents here. All 125 antique dealers set up on the grass in the park and on front lawns of old white Vermont homes "On the Green" in Dorset. We'll explore this New England tradition and get some inside information on buying New England country antiques, from formal to rustic.
