Old molding adds a substantial look to a mirror and photo holder.
Materials:

2 x 4 scrap wood
molding (at least 2" wide)
paint
paintbrushes
finish nails
screws
flat corner brackets
mirror brackets
1 mirror
2 pieces of glass
foam backing
wood glue
2 photos
2 L-brackets

Steps:

1. Paint or stain all wood pieces and let dry.

2. The 2 x 4 will act as the base. Cut a piece of molding the length of the base ; pre-drill holes and nail it in place.

3. Determine the desired frame sizes and cut the molding. Place the pieces down in order; turn them over and join the pieces with corner brackets.

4. Turn the piece back over. Glue molding to the top and bottom edges for decoration.

5. Have a piece of mirror and foam board cut to the size of the large middle frame. Set the mirror then the foam board on the frame and screw in enough mirror brackets to keep it secure.

6. Sandwich the photos between the glass and more foam board and secure them as above.

7. To mount the frames onto the base, screw each end of two L-brackets onto the bottom edge of the frame. Set the frame onto the base and secure the other end of the L-brackets to it.
