Materials:

frame or wood tray
metallic silver paint
paintbrush
assorted computer /electronic parts (disc capacitors, colorful wire, electronic boards, fuses, keyboard keys, mouse parts)
industrial strength glue
electronic schematic rub-on transfer designs
electronic gadgets (battery-operated voice recorders, flashing LED light ,etc.)
Plexiglas
1/4" square wood strips

Steps:

Frame

1. Paint frame and let dry. Add detailing if desired (hand-painted or rub-on transfer designs).

2. Glue computer parts to the frame as desired.

3. Add a battery-operated voice recorder or LED light for fun (figure A).

Tray

1. Cut wood strips to fit around inside edges of tray. Paint tray and strips. Let dry.

2. Put strips in position. Glue computer parts to the tray bottom as desired.

3. Set a piece of Plexiglas on top of the wood strips (figure B).
