Recycle paper to make a useful storage items such as bowls for fruit.

Materials:

corrugated paper
craft knife
metal ruler
cutting mat
white craft glue
foam brushes
rice paper
matte acrylic varnish

Steps:

1. Cut corrugated paper into 1/2-inch strips (across the corrugations or ribs).

2. Brush glue over the textured side of a strip and roll it tightly into a coil .Add more strips until a large flat circle is formed for a base. Let dry.

3. Brush glue over part of the outer edge of the base and attach paper strips by gradually working up and around. Continue gluing and wrapping, working up and out while overlapping strips (figure A). To finish the top, fold strips of corrugated paper in half and glue it over the lip. Let dry.

4. Tear large pieces of rice paper and glue a layer or two over the inside and outside surface of coil pot. Allow to dry.

5. Apply one or two coats of matte varnish for protection.
