Candy Cane Coat Rack

Solve a common party problem by assembling a festive coat rack.

scrap wood
old broom handle
saw
drill
paddle bit
finishing nails
hammer

Steps:

1. Cut a piece of wood to desired size. Sand and paint the piece.
2. Make dowel hangers from the broom handle--decide how many coats will be hung on the rack, and then cut the necessary pieces.
3. Use a drill and paddle bit to make holes that are the same width as the dowels .
4. Set the hangers in place and secure with a nail.
5. Paint the dowels red and white to look like candy canes.
