Recycle an old window by covering it with natural textures to hide an unattractive view.
Materials:

old window with panes
glass cleaner
rice papers
feathers
old books
pressed leaves or flowers
decorative scissors
spray adhesive
glass or Plexiglas
double-stick mounting pads
stamps
acrylic paint
chain
2 eyehooks
rotary cutter
mat board
clear ruler

Steps:

1. Clean and paint the window frame as desired. Let dry.

2. Clean and measure the windowpanes and have pieces of glass cut 1/8 inch smaller than the panes.

3. Cut rice paper about 1/2 inch smaller than each pane. Trim around book pages with decorative scissors to desired size.

4. Place the rice paper in a pane and use a double-stick pad in each corner, half on and half off the paper. Use spray adhesive to arrange a book page, feather and /or leaf on top. Cover with another pane of glass.

5. Arrange other panes as desired. Add stamped images to the second layer of glass where desired and let dry.

6. Hang in front of a window with eyehooks in each top corner and chain.
