Sub-zero and Wolf held a student design contest and the lucky winner got to have his or her design built at this year's Kitchen and Bath Industry Show. Jamie Miller from Alexandria Technical College in Minnesota took first place. "We have a dark cherry and a light maple, and just the contrast between both of them was going for more of a modern sleek approach to everything," says Jamie. "And I also love the round windo. It gives that Asian feel to it and that’s what all ties it together: the function and the style of it."

The Starco (stands for Started After Retirement) trash containment system uses a stainless steel trash chute—just like an old fashioned laundry chute—that's spring hinged, and easy to clean and maintain. The unit lets you take all of your trash and recyclables and send it straight out into the garage into a bag or a recycle container. Once in the garage it's easily cleaned.
