Change the look of boring cabinets with tooling foil cut to resemble lattice surrounded by decorative molding.
Materials:

thick copper tooling foil
paintbrushes
decorative molding
china marker
steel wool
paint
pencil
utility knife
cutting mat
hammer
finish nails

Steps:

1. Paint cabinet, doors and molding as desired and let dry.

2. Cut tooling foil to the shape of the inset cabinet door panel. Rub steel wool in a circular motion over the surface to remove some of the shine and wipe dust off .

3. Draw a pencil line using a 1-1/2-inch-wide straightedge from one corner to the opposite one. Then draw lines the width of the straightedge across the surface. Repeat in the opposite direction to create a diagonal grid.

4. Mark every other box/partial box on every other diagonal line with a china marker and carefully cut those boxes out to create the lattice pattern.

5. Place the lattice foil over the cabinet door and nail the molding in place to hold it all together.
