Steps:
1. Paint the wall in the base coat color. While it's drying, cut garbage bags into two flat panels.
2. Once dry, roll the glaze on in a 3' x 3' area. Position a garbage bag panel over the top of the glazed area--it will adhere itself to the wall. Pinch and pull here and there to create creases and lines. Remove the panel and reposition it to achieve even more texture.
3. Use crumpled plastic pieces to dab the area to further remove some of the glaze and create a softer, more mottled appearance. Repeat until the area is complete. The glaze stays workable for a while so there shouldn't be a problem with overlapping , but be careful not to overlap too much when rolling glaze on a new section. Change the garbage bag or clean the panels frequently as the technique is done to keep the texture crisp.
4. If desired, lightly sand the upper portion of the walls to make hanging a border easier. Paint the ceiling in a coordinated color for a final touch.
