One of our favorite rooms in the house today is the kitchen where we cook, entertain and do homework. Designers are paying more and more attention to the cabinet color , using bright accents to highlight it.
- Use a bright color such as yellow or green on a section of cabinets or try cherry red lacquer on a trio of pantry doors (figure A). Both colors complement wood tones nicely.
- The colors chosen for cabinets say something about our personality and the selection is wide. Using a splash of color makes the room warm and easy to live with.
- If laminate is too sleek, rich green stain can be applied to a wood cabinet for an updated yet traditional look (figure B).
- Paint in subtle tones warms a kitchen like the pale green used on these cabinets (figure C).
- Manufacturers plan to tackle cabinetry shape and form next by introducing curved options.
- For a touch of color with lots of impact, incorporate a colorful microwave into your kitchen design (figure D).
