Wire accessories have a graceful style they can be whimsical or practical with many uses throughout a home:

• The most common wire accessory, a basket, can be used for storage in any room of the house. Use one in the bathroom to display beautiful towels.
• The most popular style continues to be things similar to baskets in shape because that's the easiest and most convenient way to use them. With a little imagination, one can use the same item for many things such as an umbrella stand or a vase.
• The kitchen is probably the most common room in the house to see wire accessories. Round silver baskets provide stylish storage for fruits and vegetables. A more formal silver basket adds sophistication to an elegant dining room table (figure A).

Look for wire shaped into unusual items like a small Victorian grandfather's clock or a chandelier (figure B), which add interesting texture to a space. Since most rooms have a lot of wood and fabric, wire items are one way to add more metal.

A wonderful way to put wire into your home is by replacing a glass cabinet panel with chicken wire or wire webbing (figure C).
