Kenya Crumel, a development consultant, and documentary filmmaker Byron Hurt met on a Friday night at a restaurant in Brooklyn, N.Y. Even though Byron fell in love with Kenya right away, it took him six years to propose. He took her to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens overlooking the cherry blossoms, one of her favorite areas, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
