Figure C
Materials:

new Christmas ornaments
clear glitter, red glitter
matte board
craft knife
white glue
dulling spray
Victorian reproduction wrapping paper
silver leaf
foam brushes
hole punch
wire for hangers

Steps:

  1. Cut out a piece of matte board into desired shape, and then cut the center out to make a frame. Cut out a design from wrapping paper, and glue it onto the back of the matte board (figure A). Punch a hole in the top for hanging.
  2. Paint glue on the front of the board and sprinkle red glitter over it (figure B).
  3. Apply another layer of glue, and sprinkle the clear glitter on top of that for an aged look.

Tips:

  • For another idea, put a thin layer of glue on the matte board, and add silver leaf (figure C). Sprinkle clear glitter over that for an aged look as above if desired.
  • Use the same process with glass ball ornaments for an aged effect.
