Author Vickie Payne demonstrates how to make a copper foil cutout for a store-bought lampshade or votive candle shade.

Materials:

glass votive candleholders (any size)
3/16" Venture Silver Foil roll
12" x 12" sheet of Venture Copper Foil
3/16" Venture New Wave Foil
decorative paper punches
Foilmate (foiling tool)

Steps:

  1. Clean glass surface with rubbing alcohol.
  2. Using paper punches and full sheets of copper foil cut out decorative shapes and place on shade. (Shades can also be decorated with strips of foil).
  3. Use the Foilmate to roll and burnish the foil to the glass surface.
