Looking for some new ways to display your favorite photographs? This photo lampshade is perfect for your favorite shutterbug.
Materials:
angled metal frame (four-sided, six-sided works best)
single-hole punch
ribbon
Steps:
- Trace one side of the frame onto craft paper to use as a template and cut out.
- Lay template on back of the photo.
- Trace and cut to the size of the template.
- Punch holes 1/4" inch apart along the top and bottom of the photo.
- Hold photo up against the frame and whip stitch it to the frame using ribbon (figure A).
- Continue to whip stitch all of the photos to the frame.
- Knot the ends of the ribbon when complete, and add craft glue to the knot to keep ribbon from unraveling.
- To cover the horizontal seams of the photos, add a length of ribbon to the seam and position into place. Glue to the inside of the frame to secure.
