Materials:

paper lampshade
spray adhesive
sheet music
decoupage finish
foam brush
scissors or craft knife
velvet cord or other trim
glue gun

Steps:

  1. If you wish to make the music look aged, mix tea or coffee with water, and dip the music in it. Place the paper in the sun to dry.
  2. Tear the sheets of music into medium-size pieces. Spray adhesive on the back piece, and place it on the lampshade. Repeat with the other pieces, overlapping them until the shade is covered. Let the pieces dry, and trim off any edges.
  3. Apply one or two coats of decoupage finish, and let it dry overnight. It will dry clear.
  4. With a glue gun, apply trim to the top and bottom edges.
  5. Optional: Add a decorative finial, if desired.
