Gilded Flea Market Lamp

lamp base and shade
silver and/or gold leaf
leaf sizing
soft bristle brush
pencil

Steps:

1. Clean lamp base and let dry. Cover entire base with metallic leaf using sizing according to the directions. Remove excess with a bristle brush. Fill open areas with more leaf until completely covered.

2. Create a design on the shade by tracing a template (large diamonds, squares or stripes).

3. Apply metallic leaf as above.
