You don't have to get out a ladder to change recessed ceiling fixture light bulbs. You can use a telescoping light bulb changer, available at most home centers. Some have a suction cup at the end which grabs the bulb, letting you turn and remove it. Others have a cage-like top that surrounds the bulb and lets you maneuver it. Both are inexpensive and make changing spot and flood lights a lot easier, both indoors and out.
