Cake Pan Lamp

Light any room with this funky lamp made from a cake pan base and pretty baubles for the shade.

standard lamp kit
cake pan
metal plumber's cap
spray paint
lampshade frame
assorted bells, crystals, baubles, wine bottle wire, etc.

Steps:

1. Spray cake pan desired color and let dry.

2. Secure the threaded rod through the plumber's cap with washers and nuts to keep the lamp from tipping. Slide the cake pan over the rod to cover the plumber's cap (drill a hole if there isn't an existing one). Secure it with a nut.

3. Put a nut about 1/2 inch down from the top of the rod. Wire the lamp according to the directions on the light kit.

4. Decorate lamp frame as desired. Use fireproof decorations or keep them a sufficient distance from light bulb to avoid a fire hazard.

5. Place shade on lamp and top it off with a decorative finial.
