Reinforce a natural theme with a flower-pot lamp.
Materials:

terra-cotta pot and saucer
floral foam
moss
copper tubing (cut to size)
socket kit and wire with a plug
flowers, bird's nest, etc.
lampshade
epoxy glue
ribbon
hole punch

Steps:

  1. Cut floral foam to size and place inside terra-cotta pot.
  2. Stick copper tube into center of floral foam. Epoxy base of socket inside copper tube.
  3. Run wire up through bottom of pot, through the copper tube, to the base of the socket. Attach socket (follow directions included in the socket kit).
  4. Stick moss in between the pot and saucer, evening out the space where the cord rests. Epoxy pot to saucer.
  5. Fill pot with flowers, bird's nest, etc., as desired.
  6. Lightly spray lampshade with gold paint. Punch holes around the perimeter and weave a ribbon through.
