Figure C
Materials:

chandelier lighting fixture
enamel spray paint
small chandelier shades
a selection of ribbons, trims and rosettes to use for decorating the shades
wide ribbon
glue gun

Steps:

  1. Remove or cover any parts of the fixture that you do not want to paint. Paint the fixture by applying several light coats until fully covered (figure A).
  2. Replace parts that were removed before painting.
  3. To make chain cover, measure the length of the chain and cut two lengths of wide ribbon 2-1/2 times longer than the chain. With right sides facing, sew the ribbon along the edges (figure B). Turn right side out and sheer over chain.
  4. Use a glue gun to affix trim to the top and bottom of shade. Using a zigzag pattern from the top to the bottom of the shade, attach ribbon with glue gun.
  5. Accent with ribbon rosettes (figure C).
