Valencich has a design plan for updating Vinnie's bathroom with three easy and inexpensive lighting tricks. First, she places shades on the sconces to soften the lights. Then, she installs a new kind of nightlight, called a toe light, which lights from underneath the cabinets. For a finishing touch, she adds a pendant over the tub and puts the recessed lighting on a dimmer.
