  • Wrap a flexible nylon rope around a vase, then glue it in place for a decorative touch. It's a great new look that can be used on lamps, too.

  • If dresser drawers continually have that mothball smell, take everything out, line it with newspaper, sprinkle coffee grounds on the paper and close the drawer tightly. Leave overnight. This also works with old trunks.
