Figure A--The couple's research connected them with Cather's niece, who became a good friend and assisted them in restoring the author's bedroom back to its original condition.

Figure B--Cather's niece also gave the Hoschouers with a few of Cather's personal items for the room, including original letterhead stationery she used in her writing and this pair of spectacles.
