Rosemount Museum

Pueblo, Colorado, is home to a mansion made of pink volcanic stone that is named Rosemount, after John Thatcher's wife's favorite flower. The Thatchers built the 37-room home in the late 19th century, and during the Christmas season, Rosemount bloomed. Wreaths and garlands adorned a magnificent stained-glass window and painted ceilings.

Before Christmas dinner, each family member would take a turn stirring the plum pudding to give them good luck in the new year.
