How to strip wicker furniture
Home-improvement expert Bruce Johnson shares these tips on stripping wicker furniture:
  • To begin, test your paint and varnish removers on an inconspicuous spot.
  • Use an aerosol stripper to reach between the various strands.
  • Work in small sections so the remover does not dry out too quickly.
  • Use a soft bristled brush dipped in mineral spirits to wash off the softened paint.
  • Once you have removed all of the paint, restore the sheen with a light coat of aerosol lacquer.
