Butcher Block Table
Materials:

small table or cabinet
sandpaper discs
dust mask
clean damp cloth
2 paint trays
primer
paint (Behr Bayside #510F-5)
butcher block (slightly larger than tabletop)
vinyl or rubber bumper pads

Tools:

palm sander
paintbrush

Steps:

1. Sand down the table with a palm sander to remove old paint and stain (figure A). Remove dust with a clean damp cloth.
2. Apply one coat of primer and let dry. Paint the entire table desired color.
3. Place vinyl bumpers on back of butcher-block (figure B) to prevent sliding.
4. Place the butcher block on top of the table bumper side down.
