Watch the Video: Store toys and games in baskets that are off the floor and organized within a shelving unit that can be moved when desired.
Materials:

storage baskets (Cost Plus)
pine panels
miter saw
220-grit sandpaper
primer
paint
casters (optional)
wood glue
long screws
jigsaw
clamps
belt sander
drill with countersink bit
flush spackling compound
tack cloth or rags

Steps:

1. Be sure to purchase boards that are the right width for your baskets. The shelving unit has two sides and three longer shelves. Cut all the boards to length using a miter saw.
2. To create rounded corners on the two side pieces, lay them flat and clamp them together. Trace the desired shape (such as a roll of blue painter's tape) in the two upper corners and cut the design out using a jigsaw. Use a belt sander to smooth the edges. Remove the clamps.
3. Mark reference lines on the outside of each side piece where the shelves will be attached. Drill pilot holes along the lines using a countersink bit. Secure the shelves to the sides using wood glue and long screws, and then fill the holes with flush spackling compound. Let dry.
4. Sand the entire piece and remove the dust with a tack cloth or damp rag. Prime and paint the piece as desired. Let dry before placing the baskets into position.
