TV Cabinet Fantasy Finish

The same painting technique, inspired from store-bought suitcase tables, ties these furniture pieces made of various woods together. The finish adds an aged textured look and creates unity in the room.

satin latex paint for base coat (bright yellow)
satin latex paint (dark brown )

Steps:

1. Paint piece yellow and let dry for about an hour. Dip a whiskbroom into dark brown paint and pounce it onto the yellow base coat, making sure to cover the entire piece with large and small splatters.
2. Allow the brown to dry and brush the entire surface with a 50/50 mixture of the brown paint and clear glaze (brush strokes add to the hand-painted look).
