Add age and character to a new piece of furniture with a lime wash and stain.
Materials:

Stain and Seal (Antique Honey)
AquaSeal
lime wash
cheesecloth
nylon scrubber
brush
rags
rubber gloves
AquaGard

Steps:

  1. Apply one coat Stain and Seal over raw wood. Wipe it off evenly using rags or cheesecloth. Allow to dry completely.
  2. Apply one coat AquaSeal and allow to dry completely.
  3. Wear rubber gloves to apply lime wash over 100 percent of the surface area. Remove the majority of it with cheesecloth, allowing some to stay in any contour areas. Allow to dry completely.
  4. At this point, leave the finish alone for a chalky aged look or buff it to a shine with a nylon scrubber.
  5. If desired, seal the piece with a coat of AquaGard in chosen sheen.
