Finial Touch

• Despite their diminutive size, finials are the decorative detail that helps give any furnishing its unique personality.
• Finials are being used more often so there are many interesting ones available in all shapes and sizes. They're being made in all sorts of materials--from traditional brass to non-traditional semi-precious stones and seashells.
• Look for small devices that attach to clip-on shades in order to attach a finial.

Materials:

plywood
4 curtain rod finials
3" high-density foam
fabric
brass tacks
drill

Steps:

1. Cut plywood to desired size and drill a pilot hole in each corner. Screw the finials on for legs.

2. Place fabric right side down with the foam and plywood on top.

3. Secure fabric neatly along the edge of the plywood with tacks.
