Figure A
Materials:

garden trellis
chain
2 eyehooks
scrap wood
L-brackets
felt furniture pads

Steps:

1. Paint trellis as desired. Cut a piece of 1 x 1 scrap wood eight inches long . Place it on the backside of the trellis on the narrow end and pre-drill holes for attaching it there. Paint as desired and screw into place once dry.

2. Cut a long piece of 1 x 1 scrap wood for the stand/support and paint as desired . Once dry, add a hinge to the top of it and screw the other side of the hinge to the piece from Step 1 on the back of the trellis (figure A).

3. Turn the trellis over. Cut a 1 x 4 scrap piece of wood for the shelf and nail a smaller piece of wood to the edge to keep the art from sliding off. Paint as desired and screw L-brackets onto the back to attach it to the trellis once it's dry.

4. Add furniture pads to the bottom of the legs to protect floors.

5. Stand the easel upright and attach a chain with an eyehook at each end between the easel and the stand.
