Handpainted Furniture

If you're not an artist, transfer designs onto furniture for a handpainted look.

unfinished wood furniture or accessory
chosen designs
heat transfer tool
wood stain
polyurethane
rag

Steps:

1. Enlarge or reduce design as desired and have color copies made (do not use a computer inkjet printer). Place the design right side down on the wood surface.

2. Use the heat tool to transfer the design to the surface. Periodically lift the paper to check progress and apply more heat as necessary.

3. Stain as desired and pat with a rag to remove excess. Let dry.

4. Seal with polyurethane.
