Bunny DeLorie demonstrates how easy it is to transfer color copies onto unfinished wood with a heat transfer tool.
Materials:
unfinished wood rocking chair
Bunny Burner transfer tool
color copy of nursery rhyme designs
assorted colors of acrylic paints
assorted artist brushes
clear shellac
220 grit sandpaper
Steps:
- Have color nursery rhyme designs copied onto color copy paper at a copy shop. Enlarge or reduce to fit chair arms, seat and back.
- Attach round transfer head to Bunny Burner transfer tool. Plug in and allow to heat about five minutes.
- Cut roughly around designs with scissors.
- Place design face down onto unfinished wood surface. Slowly rub the back of the design with the Bunny Burner.
- Lift up the paper as you go along to make sure you are transferring all areas.
