Transfer a nursery rhyme to a rocking chair and color with acrylic paints.
Bunny DeLorie demonstrates how easy it is to transfer color copies onto unfinished wood with a heat transfer tool.

Materials:

unfinished wood rocking chair
Bunny Burner transfer tool
color copy of nursery rhyme designs
assorted colors of acrylic paints
assorted artist brushes
clear shellac
220 grit sandpaper

Steps:
  1. Have color nursery rhyme designs copied onto color copy paper at a copy shop. Enlarge or reduce to fit chair arms, seat and back.
  2. Attach round transfer head to Bunny Burner transfer tool. Plug in and allow to heat about five minutes.
  3. Cut roughly around designs with scissors.
  4. Place design face down onto unfinished wood surface. Slowly rub the back of the design with the Bunny Burner.
  5. Lift up the paper as you go along to make sure you are transferring all areas.
